BARNES OUT
Just caught the Nolan tackle. Catch you later, ****. ****house.

Happy with the point if not a tad disappointed. If we were going to push United further towards the title, I'd have liked 3 points.

Saying what?

In other news, hahahahahahahahaha.
Saying that the record football league away win was Port Vale 0 Sheffield United 10 in the Second Division in 1892. This was in response to a rather overly ****y Rushden fan asking for the record football league away win.

Problems with Arsenal this season summed up by the game against Sunderland.

Our "creative" midfielder in Denilson:

Haha, talk about passing the buck.

Oh and our "defensive" midfielder Song:

The depressing this is, we've only got one of our central midfielders out and now we can't win the ball or when we do get it back we can't quickly start an attack because they are too scared to make a mistake so have to pass sidewards. How a team can go into a season with these two guaranteed 30 or 40 games each and expect to challenge for the title is hilarious. Deserve to be 5th or 6th this season after neglecting the most important area of the park so much.

Gah, barring a huge Man Utd **** up, can't see the title changing hands this season. Just have too much depth, and always seem to find a way to scrape out a win.

Just saw Nolans tackle on Anichebe...wow, what a shocker. Anichebe is probably lucky to walk away from the match without any serious damage (i.e. a broken leg).

Masssssssive rolleyes at the above post.

Arteta out for the season, huge blow.
Echoed. Fed up of people criticising Wenger and Arsenal TBH, it's not justified. They play better football than anyone else in the Premiership, and they're currently missing their two key goalscorers, plus their two best midfielders. I'd like to see how United would do without Rooney, Ronaldo, Carrick and Giggs, or Chelsea without Anelka, Drogba, Lampard and Essien (the latter of whom has been missing all season anyway), or Liverpool without Torres, Kuyt, Gerrard and Alonso. Even Villa without Agbonlahor, Heskey, Young and Barry - take the heart out of a team and it will suffer, end of story.

Everton will miss Arteta hugely, thought they were in with a chance at fifth until his injury. Guess there'll be even more of a workload on Cahill from now on.

Honestly sitting here shaking my head at this, feeling like I've missed something. Was a throwaway comment parodying a common (mis?)conception of Arsenal's football. Perhaps I don't get it because I personally disagree with what seems to me to be something of an Arsenal-apologist culture that permeates a lot of English football (the above reactions to my comment as example), and that I don't necessarily think that "prettiest" football and "best" football are the same thing.

But meh, I'd sooner not turn the thread sour over a comment I didn't expect to be taken too seriously. I enjoy the chat too much in here for that. :)

Don't particularily care about any of that, just find that comment particularily tiresome. It should be noted that my comment and Barney's comments aren't the same and I never said I agreed with him.

United have had all of those players out for a fair bit of the season tbh. Giggs has started just over a third of their games. Their replacements are something along the lines of: Tevez, Berbatov, Park (who is actually more often than not preferred to Giggs) and Hargreaves (who is better than Carrick but always injured). Ronaldo's done nothing all year, and Rooney's blown hot and cold. The most important player in the team by a country mile is Nemanja Vidic.

AWTA. United have better backup and when our youngsters get an oppo they make use of it.

What? They're fifth, and becoming isolated there as well. Of course it's justified.

Good manager he may be, he's not immune from criticism when he gets it wrong (no-one is), and he's got it wrong quite a lot since 2004.

It's not as though they've been decimated by injuries either, they've had no more injuries than we have this season, to key players (Rooney, Carrick, Scholes, Ferdinand, Hargreaves).
