Tom Halsey
International Coach
No, you are quite right, I cannot prove my accusations, however the fact that very few of the England lot outwardly show that they care leads me to conclude that they probably don't. The England side is largely made up of players (and important players at that) from the so-called "big four" who happen to be dominating Europe at the current moment in time, yet put them together and they struggle to beat minnows.Unarguable statement. None of us know enough about the inner workings of a footballer's mind (despite bombardments of moronic interviews) to know this.
International football consistently shoots itself in the foot. While I rate Capello highly as a manager, his appointment as England manager completely devalues the International competition. He's Italian ffs, the poit of a team representing England is that all the people who contribute to the success (or lack thereof) of that side should be English. Should England, by some miracle, win the World Cup in 2010, and Capello is the manager, you shall not find me parading it as a triumph for English football.
United > England all day long for me.
