Nothing to do with the 20-odd football games played there in that time?
Well its mainly to do with (and i'm sure its the third time i've said it) the pitch is ****ing crap.

And the rugby gets cited because its 26 men runnign and diving all over wet grass, ripping it up. We've only got one Ronaldo doing that each week......

And the Geordies reappoint Keggy. Oh the laughs to be had. Could've been worse though, another couple of hours and Chris Coleman would've been in the frame....

 . If I could be arsed I might to a poll on which is the biggest joke of a sporting team. Newcastle, Spurs, England footie, Lancashire cricket team:ph34r:

It has to be a team with ridiculously high aspirations, who never succeed fully.

Man City would normally be a big contender, but this year they're shockingly adequate.

My theory is they secretly like losing up in Geordieland.

TBF to KK tho, his reign now looks like a genuine golden era. Sure, Ferguson had him on toast, but he's far from alone in that respect. &, honestly I would love it if we get another public nervous breakdown of this quality as a result.

haha keegan back is great! hope he does well, in the mould of his last reign anyway, that would be superb, and hilarious.

Secretly like Keegan tbh, hope he does ok. Can see him doing ok tbf, think there is the chance he'll royally screw it up however.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see them going down this year. And I'd be absolutely astonished to see KK still at NUFC in September.

Wouldn't go that far. Keegan has actually done at least ok at every club job he's had. Obviously the cheque book had a part to play in that, but I can't see him having agreed to join Newcaste if he hadn't been guaranteed money.

Obviously wasn't great as England manager but was considerably better than the rubbish we've had to endure over the past couple of years.

In other news, Havant & W have dumped Swansea out 4-2. Sounded like Swansea should have had a bucketload but great to see anyways, and a big payday for them at Anfield.

Haha, listening to an Australian "football expert" saying "Stilian Petrov had a great game for City on the left wing."

Hmm, you're an idiot, son.

Anyway, happy with the win, though I'm angry at Castillo's dislocated shoulder.

Have heard someone make the opposite mistake - 'Martin Petrov has been playing so well for Villa this season.'

They related in anyway? And Keegan's a decent choice. Knows what he's getting into and is a decent to good manager. Safer bet than Shearer.

8-)

Be hard pressed to find a worse club than Newcastle.
