Why not airport like x-ray machines?

You do that if you want to go to inside the Vatican (aside from having the right clothing on) or go on the London Eye for example.
The fans were not stabbed in the Stadio Olimpico... But at a bridge which according to the FCO was not near the safety and apparent calmness which the ground exuded.

absolutely right man for the job, couldnt be happier with the appointment tbh, last thing we need is a clueless english coach like gareth southgate, or a distinctly mediocre one like alan curbishley, for once the FA have got it right, and I hope for gods sake nobdy listens to the idiots complaining about there being no english coach's in the backroom team, its completely pointless, all the old crappy coaching staff are completely antiquainted and need to be replaced by a team that know what they are doing, i can now hontesly say i'm looking forward to watching england play again.
But isn’t Capello just a league manager who usually gets found out when he sides play one-off of games? And unlike his prolific spells with AC or The Old Lady, European or International referees can not be bought off so easily...

Great manager but the guy can not turn water into wine, or in this case a team of ****e into World Champions. That being said if he does turn team England around, one thing is for certain and that is they will be playing ****e football.

Manure had that match under control, tbh. Liverpool may have had more possession, but that's how Fergie plays these big matches nowadays, sit back, soak it up, and look for one of the big three to score. If it hadn't been for VDS having some brain farts, the scousers wouldn't have had an opportunity on goal. Hargreaves played really well, it has to be said.

Revolting match to watch though, for the neutral, lets hope the Arse-Chelski will put up something more edifying. Arse have their first-choice team out by the looks of it.

Even though I may be more interested in what James Kingston does in the SA open. 80-1 shots being much more important then stupid glory-league results, in my book.

Was an ugly game, thats for sure. Liverpool were going in hard on us, really trying to rile the players. Soaked up the pressure though, Ferdinand was a rock, and Hargreaves never stopped.

Will take that. Now off to phone my scouse supporting brother in law :)

From the lack of media interest in the story (and the fact that British nationals were arrested) it’s fairly obvious that the ‘fans’ stabbed were hooligans and thus who gives a ****? You don't go to bridges which are notoriously used to settle disputes and expect a kiss and cuddle.
Then why is it that United fans are only involved in trouble when they go abroad, and Roma have had trouble with far more teams than just United?

Contrary to how Sky billed it, United against Liverpool is not normally a great match these days, because losing is unacceptable.

Excellent result. :)

Arsenal vs. Chelsea really scrappy affair so far, some pretty nasty tackles. Almost expecting someone to get sent off at the moment.

Have to say it's hard to see Liverpool being well and truly in the title race if they can only scrummage 2 out of a possible 9 points in all their home games to the other "big four" teams. With all the rough away games they'll have to face in the second half, I can't see them winning the title now. Chelsea and Arsenal both in the race, but Chelsea without Drogba don't seem to have the killer finish they'll need and he's out for a fair few weeks, isn't he? If so Arsenal United it looks to be for now, at least.

tbh thats been the case for a long time now, and will remain that way for the forseable future regardless of the manager, whats good about Capello is hopefully we will see an end to the supposed "big names" showing up, getting picked on reputation and playing like crap, hopefully we can wave bye bye to shaun wright-philips and various other mediocre performers for good.

Can't remember the last time a the big 4 had anything but a tight encounter in the league, these games are never exciting compared to the super classico or the Milan Derby.

Very surprised i must say to see Liverpool struggling & Arsenal doing so well. Don't think the Liverpool have done much wrong but have just not had luck this season, the gunners well i guess the rise of Fabregas has really inspired them, while Chelsea they are still sticking it out, but i reckon they will really miss Drogba in the coming months, would need Shevchenko to find the form of his Milan days.

My boys though just keep firing our mid-field post Scholes-Giggs is really looking up, United are no doubt front runners to win the league, we would really have to slip up badly not to win it from here. Who knows the treble could be on this year..
