Right, so where Liverpool have players who didn't play this weekend such as Finnan, Paletta, Garcia, Alonso, Kewell, Crouch and Kuyt, United have Heinze (but then Evra started!), Richardson, Carrick, Fletcher, Miller and Rossi.

I think I know which back-up I'd prefer.
Well, Liverpool fielded their second team against Sheffield Utd...

reina, carragher, gerrard, fowler, riise...to name a few more, and tbh sissoko and bellamy are indeed going to be regulars, as is aurelio i imagine after impressing the other day.

Kuyt will fail, mark my words.
from what i have seen of him i have never been convinced at all, from what i have seen huntelaar looks like a much more interesting prospect.

Mansfield 2 v 0 Huddersfield

This is an amazing result for us :)
Hope we get a Prem club at home in the 2nd round.

Like Sissoko, Aurelio, Kromkamp, Zenden and Bellamy? One-and-a-halfth team, then.
Sissoko is a superb player.

Last season was meant to be his get used to the club with mainly reserve football, but he was too good for that.

I concur. He's one of the main reasons Stevie G looks consistently better for Liverpool than he does for England. Didi Hamman being the other.

Not much use though when their 1st team can only draw 1-1 at a promoted club with the aid of an extremely dodgy penalty though is it?

My predictions:

1. Manchester United - if we get one more signing
2. Chelsea

3. Liverpool
4. Tottenham
5. Arsenal

18.Charlton
19.Sheffield United
20.Watford

Last year I called it for Chelsea to win and for United to finish second so this year I'm reversing and hoping for my predictions to come through again.
No.

Niall Quinn doing a fine job with Sunderland. Going to bring a "top, world class" manager in very soon. Expect Peter Reid to be in charge then.

Was a lot of paper talk about Fat Sam being up for the gig last week, but what with him trying to sign Mad Nick now I can't see it coming to pass.
