To be fair when I went OT we were back of the highest stand and had a perfect view.

Didin't stop it being the worst ground for atmosphere I've experienced.
That's what happens when you're one of the biggest clubs in the world. Attracts people who know little about the club and the songs. Also, high ticket prices stop some fans from coming and those who do buy aren't interested in helping to create entertainment but rather be entertained. Just hope Glazer's debt clears soon enough to lower prices to allow the real fans back.

True but punching is almost as effective. Ball's cleared and more often than not the danger subsides.
No, sorry, that just isnt true, punching the ball means that the keeper has a total lack of control over the ball and its prone to ending up in the possession of the other team, a goal keeper should always catch the ball when he can rather than parry, david seaman was very good at this.

marc didnt mention the fans, and this problem has been around far longer than glazer, and in fact has nothing to do with him.

All well and good, but this was an England game well before Glazer came onto the scene - so what excuse will you trot out now then?

Must have lacked rugby league fans.

someone so ignorant could watch the last england game and come to the same conclusion.
Didn't say he looked bad but he was rather good. Nothing though to say he's better than Robinson definitively. At this stage though he'll probably be way better than Robinson in a few years.

None. It has gotten worse though.

 All that matters is that danger to a goal being scored is averted. There are lots of situations where it's best to punch though. Hmm...but if you're good enough you'd get there quick enough to catch it. I see your argument.:)

somewhat surprising really as since gallas has arrived its looked a lot better, was hoyte in to replace eboue? and did clichy make an appearance?
Yes & yes. Clichy actually replaced Gallas without about ten minutes to go. Made a couple of decent tackles in that time. A couple of times Gallas was caught out of position as he does supplement the attack as an auxiliary winger. We got away with it against Watford (we were 3-0 up before they made Jens make a meaningful save), but against better oppo we could be caught out.
