But couldn't quite be consistent enough against the teams in your own division to actually win promotion. Is Paul Jones at Exeter on a transfer or a renewall of his loan? How good of a 'keeper is he?
Yeah, that was the problem. Looks like we've got that sorted now - six straight wins, six straight clean sheets. Who knows what'll happen when we start playing well?

Jones signed a three-year deal last February for an 'undisclosed' fee - which we think was around £10,000. He is by all accounts a brilliant shot-stopper for the level, making an absolutely stunning stop yesterday (was compared to Seaman's v Sheff Utd by fans, but I was at the other end of the pitch so haven't seen it yet!). A little dodgy on crosses, and kicks are, um, a little wild at times.

He'll on;y be for a couple of years though. Not that young. I'd much rather Essien. Hopefully he sucks for Chelsea so that United can get him cheap.
But if he is a failure at chelsea then what will make him a succes at man utd?

I think Ballack would be a great signing for man utd i really hope they dont get him

I'm picking Tottenham to finish either 5th or 4th this season with West Ham to stay up out of the promoted sides.
Tottenham are really being hyped at the moment and i must admit they do seem too have a very strong team with the excellent defoe who will get 20 goals atleast this season. However i wouldnt be at all suprised if they do what tottenham always do and fade into mediocrity by the end of the season

chelsea's again show how you can buy sucess with a flukey win over arsenal, with financial capability like that it really seems to me that everyone is playing for second place.

Fantasy Team scores again:

1 Albert Ferever 49 114
2 Watson's Cumbrians 50 102
3 Siberian Money 47 98
4 Boulevard Bombers 43 94
5 Scaly Piscine FC 45 93
6 West Dubbo Firebugs 39 89
7 Internazionale 37 87
8 Wests Tigers 43 81
9 Duke Smellington 39 76
10 Brentford 29 71
11 clockwork orange 24 59

I changed the captain from Lampard to Shearer with him being at home to West Ham... so of course Lampard has 6 and Shearer 2 provisionally for this gameweek.

I'm still waiting for someone in my team to score a goal... and I wish Bryan Robson would stop being such an idiot as usual and pick Earnshaw instead of some old duffer.

Agreed he should pick Earnshaw, but he hasn't done badly has he? (Robson)

what a fluke by Drogoba today, chelsea fans must be extatic about finally beating the gunners after all these years (i have never seen the blues beat the gunners in the premiership since i started watching football) :D

someone seems rather bitter today
im not so much bitter, its just dawned on me how the premiership winner is almost certainly decided already, there is just a total in-balance in the league.

that may be true but if your team was offerd all that money would you reject it?

Todays game also wasnt really decided by chelseas millions it was a bit of luck and no amount of millions can buy you that. well i suppose it can but that would be called match fixing

all the same, it means that 1st place is almost guaranteed to chelsea, even if arsenal or man utd grasp it this year somehow then chelsea will win it back, its just inevitable, makes the premiership even more of a joke than it already was imo. But yes fair play to chelsea, nobody would refuse that kind of money.

as far as im conerned it is now worse than it was instead of a 2 horse race it is a 3 horse race with a clear favourite but by no means a certainty
