*Official* English Domestic Season Thread 2010

Glen Chapple averaging 33 with the bat and 19 with the ball this season. It's hard to believe he's not played more than a lone ODI for England given some of the turd that've worn the three lions in the last 15 years.

Must be prejudice on the basis of the colour of his hair - can't be anything else given he plays for one of the leading counties

Well the gingerness is one thing, but maybe it's also the fact that Bell looks a little bit like a choirboy whereas Chapple has a face like a smacked arse.

Couple of wickets and all 4 results possible now. Rashid actually batting above Bresnan in Yorkshi*e's second innings.

Hmm, wasn't quite enough though, desperately disappointing, killed by the weather:(
Yah, is a shame to see good contests ruined by conditions. The whole county season seems so rushed and a major reduction in the number of games and in the time between T20 matches could allow championship matches to perhaps have reserve days to deal with rain? Oh well, a man can dream.

But yeah, Murali Kartik - I find it hard to believe that Ojha or Mishra are better options than Kartik in Test cricket, who absolutely has been dominating FC cricket recently, unless it is another case of county batsmen being incapable of playing him. Kartik has always had a problem stepping up to the highest level, if you look at stats in all forms of the game, the figures fall drastically when it comes to zonal cricket in India (something that is definitely higher level than Division Two and arguably better than Division One cricket in terms of batting) and playing international cricket. He seems to be out of favour with selectors, but I'd love to see him back. I am still apprehensive though, because Chawla is always **** in Indian domestic cricket but cleaned up in his period over here...

Hmmm...

Chambers has gone wicketless in his last game for Essex, which ended in a draw, but he has been taking a lot of wickets recently in FC cricket. However, I just don't know why, from what I have seen of him in T20 cricket (I know, I know), he is pretty slow and doesn't really move the ball too much. Definitely a prospect if he keeps going at this rate though and picks up from where he left off before this last game.

Cosgrove with his 3rd century of the season for Glamorgan, has been very good for Glamorgan this season and probably will be for Tasmania.

Morgan and Finn holding out for the draw against Sussex.

So, Morgan gets two scores of 58 in the match - one not out.. whereas Ravi gets 148 and 102 in their match against Yorkshire.

Interesting selection dilemma?

Morgan's the man in possession and has actually done nothing in his 2 Tests to call for him to be replaced.

Shouldn't be any question as to who gets selected.

That is a huge problem with giving people a chance and experience against Bangladesh.
