One thing in left in the season for the Rey is to avoid the wooden spoon, which I think you will do if you get the points for a draw in this match.

(Not checked the table myself, but this is what someone's said on the Sussex messageboard)

Congratulations to Sussex - distinctly useful looking squad these days - I doubt they'll get the chance to compete for the Div 2 title for the next few years at least

Hants need three Kent wickets in the next 35 minutes - overs no longer a consideration as they'll get more than the minimum. Tredwell the main obstacle.

Ah well, looks as if I can make the trip to Canterbury to watch Surrey next season ... all four London clubs in Div 2.

There would most likely only have been one more over in that game. I think Kent might be looking for a new captain before long.

Done it!!!!!

Bloody delighted, another year in division 1 is secured, very good effort after such a woefull start to the season.

 Quality stuff from the lads. Really thought we were going down after the start, and then when the injuries started mounting up I thought we were screwed, but the young lads have stepped up and been awesome. To end the season as T20 Champs and to stay in the 1st Division of Championship is a fantastic effort.

Kent look doomed as the way they are playing of late you can't see them winning at Yorkshire and the way Warwickshire are playing in the last couple of weeks they may win anyway.Good that we have some excitement at both ends of the table for the final week.

Another big total for Somerset, 312-6 - only Kieswetter missing out.

Horrible figures for RTD in particular.

LOLing at Colville: "Bob would have been turning in his ... well he's not in his grave yet, but you know what I mean."

Division One is excitingly poised with 6 of the 8 teams with something to play for on the last game of the season. Only Lancs and Durham are not fighting relegation or battling it out to win the league.

Notts v Lancs live on Sky next week, presumed they'd show this fixture, although the Yorkshire v Kent may have been more interesting.
Who do Somerset play in their final game? And when are they played?

Good to see Bell in the Warwikshire side today, going to the Rose Bowl on Tuesday so hope to see him then.

Slightly questionable third umpire decision there - should he give the batsman (in this case Flower) the benefit of the doubt when he doesn't have a clear view? Surprised we couldn't see it from the other side, frankly.

Foster goes. Great little knock, but think he needed to turn it into a great big one. 105 needed off 13 with 4 in hand.
