Trademark Ian Blackwell inflating his season's First-Class average with an early massive innings against a UCCE.
he can only bat against who he faces

bad day for Sajid, he took some pounding from Warks but Bell failed to shine. Intresting to see in Warnes column in the times today he says he is only going to bowl 'realy obvious' wrong uns to Peitersen in the nets so that he thinks he can pick them when he is playing for England
Won't be very successful though, as he’s already given the game away.

Sounds a bit like when Beckham said he deliberately got booked, trying desperately to appear smart but by doing so proving they're dumb.

I think (I may be wrong) he was trying to say that the UCCE games shouldn’t be given FC status, and if he was, I fully agree.

MCC beat Warks, Cook coming close to a second century in the match, Flower seeing them home. Only 14 wickets in the whole match though!

Essex look like they will scrape home, old timer Gough currently 36*.

Cardiff put up a good fight in their second dig, two centurians as they drew with Glamorgan.

Sussex and Loughborough had a bit of a tame draw.

Oxford looked to be sliding to defeat against Gloucs but a solid 7th wicket partnership clinched a draw.

Highly rated James Hildreth scored an 86 ball 112 with the game already a draw after Maiden's 211* for Durham UCCE.

Good to see some of the UCCE's put up some fight

First Wicket is a run out, take a bow Stephen Moore (born in SA btw).

Hampshire Gloucs has now started and Lancs-Somerset will start at 12.15, Surrey Sussex after lunch, but Essex-Yorks no news.

I love the English County season...

Good luck to Sean Ervine, second only to Bracken.

Do Bracken and Lee not have contracts? And can players be offered contracts mid-season?

You can if a player get selected to play for his country and someone else plays of the period their unavialable.

I don't think either Bracken or Lee have county contracts, but i think Bracken playing league cricket somewhere.
