I reckon the Sky game will get underway. I've just driven south from Nottingham and whilst it was brutally heavy rainfall, there wasn't a massive band of it and to the south it seems clear.

Then to decide whether I want the Franchise or the Frenchmen to lose more.

Surrey made a big profit last year. So much that they had to pay back part of the money the ecb gives out to the counties.
Amazing how being guaranteed about 5 internationals including a Test against the summers marquee tourists every year helps the cashflow.

Well play the games up north and all you get is the locals complaining about the ticket prices and the ground half full even when two locals are playing (Root+Bairstow v NZ last year, Headingley).

But agreed that Surrey don't have to do much to profit due to the population of london and ease of access.

David Wiley a special talent in T20. Have to find a role for him going forward.
Indeed often when an all-rounder loses his bowling they often go backwards because there's more pressure on the batting, but he doesn't care thwacks it everywhere, and hates Dernbach, never forget.:)

Yeah, was at Edgbaston to watch him absolutely take apart us for that 167. An innings that had absolutely everything, albeit against a 3rd string attack.

Willey has become so good. Started so well in the T20 stuff. 43 off 28 in a tough chase against an excellent bowling attack, followed by this 95 where the 2nd highest score in the innings was 15. Surely has to be given a go in the Limited Overs stuff for England this summer? Hales and Willey at the top would be awesome.

Hales, Wiley, Vince, Root, Morgan, Bopara, Buttler, Jordan would be a really sweet top 8 for T20s. Fact you also have 4 good bowling options involved is a massive bonus as well.

EDIT -
My whole team projecting ahead while I'm at it:
Hales, Wiley, Vince, Root, Morgan, Bopara, Buttler, Jordan, Broad, Ravi Patel, Gurney,

If its a two spinner pitch then I'd look to Samit Patel in for either Root/Boppa.

Feeling distinctly uneasy about the Roses game today especially now the weather forecast suggests a full days play - if we bat first it could be embarassing

Is it actually raining up there, or is the ground just wet from yesterday? The forecast looked fine earlier

Is there any consistency or logic in the ECB releasing players? Bresnan is allowed back for this game but Woakes doesn't seem to have been given the same dispensation for Warwickshire?

Woakes was released for the T20.

Usman Arshad had a heck of a start to his first class career. What's the noise on him?

Scaly reckons he should be in the England side:ph34r:

Actually no idea, he's certainly taken advantage of all the Durham injuries.

A few clubs in pretty dire straits with them, Essex chief amongst them.
