So what happened then. I was out at bowls and got 5 texts about the 20/20. 3 from family laughing at Lancs and 2 from Lancs fans saying they were cheated. I was getting grief and knew nothing about it.

A real treat for everybody today with Gloucestershire on the television... not. A great opportunity to see some terrible medium pacers; a reformed dodgy action; and some journeymen bats. No Fuller, Miles or WGidman for any vestige of quality. Doubt anyone breaks the 80 mph barrier on the glos side.

Still even with our 2 point deduction in the group we're ahead of Somerset and Middlesex.

In other news Maxwell gets a first class game for Hampshire as Abbott is resting. Derbyshire announced Groenewald is leaving at the end of the season. Good player could easily attract a first division club.

How ironic that for the first time in 3 years Bresnan is in form yet he isn't in the England squad. Not complaining, just think he was mismanaged by England for a long time.

Yeah, I agree, I'm obviously not watching him, but it's all about the pace he's bowling at, like Onions he's not recovered the zip since injury.

Blimey Ed Joyce is having some season.

Joyce is up there as the best player in the country this year, he's been exceptional. Joyce, Robson, Ballance and Vince have been superb so far this season.

Talking of superb, CW's favourite cricketer, the messiah, Ravi Bopara made a ton yesterday. Forget Root, get Ravi picked in the Test side. Has clearly earnt it.

25-4 at Bristol, with Dunn among the wickets and Tremlett keeping it tight - trouble is, with Surrey's batting, I always think if we can roll a side over cheaply we'll get skittled for even less. And we don't have the champion of the chase now.
