Not a good idea IMO. They already think Patel is infinitely better than every seamer in the country despite averaging 40 odd with the ball.. word of this ton might get them just enough ammunition to start comparing him with Jamie How and Tim McIntosh.
tbh, he probably could last longer than McIntosh, Harsh, but scarily nearly realistic

Well he is better than everyone barring Martin, Franklin and O'Brien in Tests. If its swinging send in Mills and Southee, if not send in Jeets. Knew he had been putting the pads on a lot in training, obviously paying off. WAG making himself even more useful to the Blackcaps by making us bat loooow even with O'Brilliant and Mar-duck-tin in the team.

Oh and also Franklin is clearly > English cricket

Morgan, Trescothick, Franklin and Joyce starred yesterday. Lucky so many of them are poms.

Imagine if Martin scored a 50 in CC?

I think there'd be a new Ashes series.

They'd probablu win this one a lot more though.

two irishmen and a kiwi. Hmm.

Though tbf, the imports should do well, otherwise they're a waste of an overseas player. (though two imports are now England qualified).
Adams is also having a spectacular season. Bastard though he is

And he's not going to be very good for NZ, even if he wasn't ICL.

Ahem, so, English cricket, back OT, hows Charlie Shreck going this year? Far better bet than others that have been called up surely?

Only keep track of Kiwi's, the Irish and good English players (Trescothick) TBH.

Dunno about this. He was a prank-bowler in ODIs, but his success at domestic level always came in the 4-day game and he only played one Test. I think he could be been quite good, at least in conditions that did just a little bit for him.

Yeah, he’s the opposite of Elliott and O’Brilliant.

Graham Napier opened with the new ball in New Zealand, didn’t he? :whistling
Thats Wellington though so who cares about them?

the only excuse I have is O'Brien, Franklin, Gillespiechucker and Patel are always away with the BCs, and Wellingtons reserves include Dwayne Bowden, so it probably wasn't hard for Napier.

He opened the bowling in first class cricket for Wellington. He doesn't do that for Essex and it was only a while back where he didn't even play county cricket.
He opens the bowling in FC for Essex, he did the second half of last season too.
