Yeah, just had look on cricinfo. English-born tho, so no nasty residency qualifcations to worry about. The boy's a talent, no doubt. SA cricket must be in rude health if it can afford to let boys of his quality slip thru their fingers.

Yeah, its a poor state of affairs particularly as Malan was highly regarded back home, won many a U-19 award and was his province's best young player but that seemingly wasn't enough for him to be offered a rookie contract. His really classy player, saw him at Uxbridge last week and aside from when Morne Morkel ruffed him up he didn’t look out of place.

How come Yorkshire? Anything to do with your time as a student in Hull?

Hussain is so right about that being typical Flintoff. Hits one that he could hit anywhere to the fielder.
