How on earh did Darren Pattinson score a county contract? Barely gets a game for Victoria. Good to see he had an excellent game vs Kent though.

Lancs looking set for a 1st innings deficit, which I didn't expect.

Elsewhere, Hoggard's taken a wicket in his 2nd over, and Harmison's sent down his 1st FC wide of the season in his 1st over.

Four for 33 from ten. Not the most illustrious top order, but still decent.

Kent really haven't started well with the bat this year. 22/3 against Martin-Jenkins and Aga.

Also, its not bad for a bowler who Duncan Fletcher said lost his ‘nip’...

Just looking at the Warwickshire scorecard seems like Zondeki has had a bit of mare, sent down seventeen no-balls and went at sixes.

Also, looks like Nicky Boje has taken over Jason Brown’s role of continuing the theme where Northants second spinner always seem to out bowl Panesar.

Disappointing end of the day for Surrey losing both Ramps and Butch, really needed one of them to go on considering Surrey are putting a lot of faith in the likes of Nicholson and Jordan with the bat.

By being recommended by his Victoria team-mate, David Hussey. Apparently, Pattinson came over here last year and was looking set for a Notts contract but his ankle went after one over in his first second's game.

Really pleasing to see Hoggard bag a 5-fer in his first 1st class match.

I don't think it's hard to see who stands more change of reclaiming their England place out of Hoggy and Harmison, at the moment at least.. :whistling

Shame Vaughan can't seem to buy runs currently.

What is it with Simon Jones? He's definitely start to pull ahead of the Shanes, Bond and Watson in the 'permanently crocked' stakes...

On the note of Michael Munday, as well as being an ICC god, his FC average is under 26, if he keeps that average down and bowls well, surely he'll be a threat to Monty?

Just looked at the Yorks scorecard and I see Bond is playing for Hants. Last I heard was he wasnt allowed and he was an ICL outcast.

What happened?
