Could someone please explain what is going on at Lord's? They start play, amd three deliveries later they are off for bad light. How on earth can the light get worse that quick?

**** knows but they shouldn't have started the game at all, its been wet and black as night all day. Pretty farcical officiating TBH.

Same at our place, TBH. Played (in drizzle) for 16 overs, came back for 1 ball (bowled by YT) and then went off again... and despite several attempts to resume eventually gave-up.

Well the game did get back underway at Lords and surprisingly Somerset are in a spot of bother. I really should have put my fictional mortgage down when Middlesex came out to bowl, considering the amount of flat track bullies the Swede Basher’s have. Although, Somerset did bat in beautiful late afternoon/early evening sunshine.

He's average. Didn't do much for Otago when he was over here.
To be fair he only played 4 FC matches(all of which were draws - 3 on pretty flat pitches - the other one he bowled 2 overs and got injured) and 1 twenty20. He didn't play a single OD match, which is pretty much the only form he's ever had much success in.

It's to stop their rivals getting a 3rd bowling point, along with wanting to get the conditions for themselves instead of fiddle around for half an hour with the tailenders while it gets easier to bat on.

That's my guess anyway.

If anyone wants me I'll be crawling under a large rock in a moment and will be there until the end of the day  :crybaby:
