I was going to ask you what's happened to Nicky Peng, and it turns out there's a N. Peng playing for Glamorgan today. What happened there, then?
Well basically he was crap, he never really improved for Durham from when he started as a 17/18 year old (FC career average 23.96, averaged 18.80 last season. List A average 25.52).

I'm sure Daniel can will have something to add to that.

We want Trott but I think he only came over here because he had nothing better to do in the off season. Well he carries on his batting form in NZ over to England, pity they choose to bowl six other bowlers ahead of him, he is quite a good bowler. An up and coming all0rounder Trott. Hope to see him playing for England soon.

The fact that Michael Powell is thrown the ball ahead of him suggests that he's not a good bowler.

or it suggests the back injury which caused him to leave NZ early is preventing him from bowling ...

Just got back from the Riverside and of course I am dissapointed but after Fridays play its the result I expected. Benks gave us a little bit of hope but once Mustard fell it was curtains.

All credit to Lancs and it was a fair result and the best team won. But even though they beat us lets get this in perspective. If Mick Lewis and Davies were on the pitch (not to mention Plunkett who was there practiing today) it would have been a different story altogether. Well done Lancs though and as I say they deserve to have won.

The return match if we have Lewis, Davies and maybe one or two of our england boys in the team will be very interesting

Dont be fooled by Mahmoods bowling figures. He was very poor. If he would have bowled like that in the first innings he would have been whacked off the park. The only reason his 4-46 occured was because by the time he was having his main spells Durham were just defending and playing nothing. Plus he is lazy in the field. Twice he could hav easily stopped boundaries but didnt. The Lancs fan behind me was shouting a hurl of abuse at him.

Cork was appalling too But Chapple was brilliant and Keedy had a fine day.

Scotland will suprise a few counties this year in the CGT...

You heard it hear first. Before you start Im not Scottish but having seen them last year and in pre-season I have a feeling that they will a few counties by suprise this year. I wanted to get this in before thier first CGT match tomorrow and Ill giver you the players to look out for...

Bowling....Ryan Watson is a handy little spinner who is also very good with the bat. Craig White is in the Harmison mould and can be deadly but destorys his figures by having the odd double figure over. Paul Hoffman is a brilliant fast bowler and probably the most deadly and able of the line up. Madien is the other spinner ands is a bit hit and miss but if on form is very capable of causing county bastmen real problems. Hopefully Lyons and Wreeaantha will be no where near the pitch but I think giving Nel a chance at this level is worth the risk. Very solid fast bowler will real pace and conistency.

Batting...Watson is aslo very good with the bat but Lockhart is the man to look for and if he gets going he can cause damage. Stanger is equally as good and Colin Smith the wicketkeeper is very nifty with the bat. Fraser Watts is a real talent who for some reason struggles to get off the mark but once he does he can have a great innings.

20 overs to dismiss the last pair.

I'd given up, but somehow with 3 balls to spare we did it.

Go the Bears.

Watching Neil Carter put Scotland to the sword at the moment - if he wants, there's a double hundred there for the taking.

Edit: Way to put the mockers on, LE.

Out for 135 - awful umpiring decision (ball pitched an Asoka outside leg stump)

Got to love some dirty slogging from Neil Carter!

Maiden List A century takes his career average to 19.75!

Reasonable fightback from the Irish, but they'll need a miracle from Shahid O'fridi to have any hope.

EDIT: Beaten by LE by a matter of moments!
