Cheers for those, good vids.

Bell-Drummond seems a nice player to watch, minimal footwork but has a wonderfully easy pull shot.

Barker at it again, we sure love bowling all rounders in England at the moment.

Another inspiring performance with the bat from Hampshire.

At least they look like starting on time at the Oval, thanks for small mercies.

Surrey leave out Rudolph, Somerset playing two spinners. Visitors won toss and will field in very overcast conditions.

Wicket number 3 for Jimmy, who generally does well in early-season games for Lancs - getting rid of Read.

Anderson vs Swann and Broad now.

:D The groundsman won't be happy with Trego, kicking his sawdust all over the place.

Good start for Surrey and they will be looking for a total well over 250.

Steve Harmison has turned down a loan offer from Yorkshire (apparently according to bbc coventry and warwickshire- can't find anywhere else reporting this). Don't know who to laugh at more.

That rain break didn't do Notts any favours - lost their last three wickets in seven balls.

I wonder if Shahzad could go the same way as James Benning - England prospect to nowhere in the space of one season. Not every county wants to take on someone with perceived 'attitude' problems.

Was Benning ever really a england prospect. from what i remember he was just a slogger. I'd say shahzad has a bit more talent than benning. england never really had any problems with his supposed attitude problems.

10 in the match for barker. first win against durham in CC in 10 or something for Warwickshire. gotta b early favourites for the title.

Ton for Hamilton Brown in the CB40, have to say the bowling has been for the most part down right dirty mind.

Shame that a lot of the day's been lost at Scarborough.

LOL Swanny does Prince again in his first over, you couldn't make it up.

Good question - I saw him get a very good 100 at Lord's in a Pro40 game three or four years ago which provided plenty of evidence of talent, and given that he was playing for a 'fashionable' club, he seemed to be at least as deserving of a slot in the one-day side as say Rikki Clarke. But he was always a work in progress and his bowling was never much cop tbh. Clearly he rubbed some people up the wrong way, but still a shame to see a promising player fall by the wayside.

295-6. maybe 20 short of what they might have hoped for at one stage but still a very tough ask for a depleted Somerset. While the conditions are hardly ideal for leg-spin, it seems odd that Waller didn't get more overs. By some distance the most economical bowler.

Keen to see Compton bat here. I've only seen him bat on a couple of occasions before (internet highlights aside) and he didn't get many.

Wow that was quick from Meaker, 91mph yorker too good for Kieswetter.

Speaking of quick bowlers, was watching some highlights of Yorkshires game with Essex and that 19 year old Tymal Mills looked seriously fast. I've seen him once before and he's added some serious juice to his game since then. Looked a fair bit faster than Chambers who bowls nearly 90mph, very impressive from a teenager.

Yeah, Benning was reasonably close to an ODI debut at one stage - IMO anyway. He certainly had his backers for a while who believed he should've been given a go, and while I always felt it was based more on people feeling England needed that sort of player in top order than him actually being an ODI standard player, worse players than him were selected.
