***official*** England whiteball tour of india January 2025***

Whatever it takes!!!
Dube has bowled the last over a few times for India in T20s and has bowled far more regularly when playing for India than when he plays for CSK. I am not sure how fair it would have been had they forced Jurel to be the concussion sub.

I dont think the English lads crying now would have cried as much had Washington been the concussion sub even though Washy is actually a more proven T20 bowler than Harshit.

Who do you think should have been the substitute?
This is exactly why the rule should be removed. There's a grey area here. Hard to determine what's a like for like replacement.

Dube looked pretty alright to me. Someone in the Indian thinktank came up with this idea and they totally exploited it.

The best way forward is to have a neutral doctor be present in the international matches and allow all injury substitutes with a list of the sub players written for each role before the game starts. So there will be less confusion and for once, it will actually make sense.

Bigger issue is that doctor deemed him ok to bat but not bowl. That raises serious health questions.

The issue will always come with allrounders. How do you fairly judge whether someone really is an allrounder or just a part-time bowler or handy lower order bat.

Which is why if the list is published beforehand, at least it wont cause these arguments. If a team disagrees with what the other has listed they can hash it out before the game starts.

Same old Austr, sorry India, always cheating!!
This was not a like for like replacement but india didn't break any rules

Allowing england to lift the icc World Cup based on a deflection from arm boundary was the pure cheating but they also didn't break any rules so just ...

Would I want my country to win using such underhand tactics? Absolutely not. It was cheating plain and simple. Not surprised at all though because it’s those **** houses.

It's the same as accidentally deflecting the ball for 4, (then asking for the umpire to chalk the runs off which they always conveniently forget/overlook), though apparently

Meh, not sure why anyone can feel that strongly about this, in an utterly meaningless series. Purely on an English front, if we'd somehow won this series against a well-below strength India, I think it would have been justification for this stupidly unbalanced side. So yeah the laws an ass, but we should have still won, I mean every match are number xi has been in with a balls to spare, this is not ideal in 50 overs let alone 20.
