The 24 runs that Rashid and Wood added (quite sensibly) at the end proving quite significant. Duckett probably MOTM as the only player to really make an innings of note (Livingstone also good).

It sheer stupidity from gambhir to send sundar ahead of jurel and india missed rinku who is good finisher. And england played extremely well. Meticulous planning and some smart captaincy

Probably because this is the best set of players England could select, but probably not India's, suggesting a clear gulf when both are at full strength.

all the eng batters even Root are road players. They cash out big on the Roads whereas other teams dont.
Root struggled in australia last time - only averaged 32 well below his 50 average. ENG lost 4-0. We will not be building roads next time they come in 11 months.

our spin reserves are bad enough that we let Pakistan go from 177-7 to 350 on a spinning pitch, everything relating to spin bowling sucks in English Cricket right now.

something has felt off about white ball Cricket this entire decade tbh, this is just another example, can't really say what's missing but a lot of the magic from the white ball game has just dissapeared.
