The Brian Hardie Stance
U19 Cricketer
New ball. Either the ball will be flying to the fence for 30 mins or England will be all out for 330.
I just think they've been aided by brainless dismissals. Not seen anything since 2 as been to cinema with kids. Rooooot.
About 100 short I presume so Sri Lanka got toss right.
No change there thenI just think they've been aided by brainless dismissals.
One of my favourite cricket anecdotes was Botham being sent out to run out Boycott in NZ in the late 70s as he was batting too slowly.Having already run out two teammates.
What a summer he has had. Definitely going to be one of the Wisden cricketers of the year. Brilliant find.I was a bit worried about Atkinson at 8 but he's played like a proper batsman today
This would've been peak Stokes 'waving them in' time.declare
Botham sent up the order with the instruction to 'Run the bugger out'One of my favourite cricket anecdotes was Botham being sent out to run out Boycott in NZ in the late 70s as he was batting too slowly.
After he ran him out Boycott refused to speak to him, he was all about batting for himself and his average rather than batting for the team.
Could be a Gillespie special! We're all going to look silly for doubting them when Atkinson raises his century tomorrow morning

Would want stronger in Australia though.England don't have a bad lower order here. Atkinson, Potts and Stone are in that not quite all-rounder but not bunny either territory.
Safe to say Atkinson has rocketed to the top of this list btwCRW also scored his unbeaten ton at Lord's which gives him probably the best ever allround record at the venue.

I was at a posh dinner at the end of 1977 when the speaker said that he wanted to celebrate Boycott's 100th hundred (against Australia at Headingley of course) and 1000th run-out (possibly an exaggeration). One of my favourite cricket anecdotes was Botham being sent out to run out Boycott in NZ in the late 70s as he was batting too slowly.
