One of my favourite cricket anecdotes was Botham being sent out to run out Boycott in NZ in the late 70s as he was batting too slowly.

After he ran him out Boycott refused to speak to him, he was all about batting for himself and his average rather than batting for the team.
Botham sent up the order with the instruction to 'Run the bugger out' 😂😂

King Kane

International Debutant
Atkinson with a quick fifty and now Potts getting in on the act, the English tail are bailing out their top order who apart from Root were bog ordinary.

King Kane

International Debutant
Atkinson is looking like a genuine all rounder, he is batting like Freddie Flintoff here.

The Sri Lankan bowlers are letting a decent day for them slip away by bowling trash.

I was at a posh dinner at the end of 1977 when the speaker said that he wanted to celebrate Boycott's 100th hundred (against Australia at Headingley of course) and 1000th run-out (possibly an exaggeration).
