Liam is there any plans in place to celebrate Lara's 400* in Trinidad?

Last time he did it, he got a Promanade named after him, a motorcade around the island, all this money from different sponsors (ie 375 - $375,000) and free air travel. Maybe even a mansion was thrown in there from the T&T Government?
That's insane. It only reinforces the culture of individual glory over team success.

I have no idea what this means. Peach cobbler? Little elves that make shoes?
It's a one word reply which has a multitude of meanings, none of which are expressing agreement.

sounds like ur being called a cobbler
Well if that's the case, then I demand that the moderators do something to curb these kind of hateful remarks. I hope this forum doesn't descend into one of anarchy, in which any anti-cobbler remarks will be accepted instead of protested against. If we let cobblers be mocked, then where does it end? Are tailors now fair game? What about ones that specialize in invisible clothes? When will the madness stop?

You know what, when I posted a while ago about how Flintoff shouldnt have made the Wisden Cricketers of the Year, I thought to myself 'I bet this is going to come back and bite me in the bum', and whats it done?
Its come back and bitten me on the bum.

No official plans yet, but there's some talk amongst the people that they should name a section of the Queen's Park Oval after him. Indeed, he did get a mansion last time. Perhaps he'll get a golf course this time?

Hmmm... a direct insult at the culture of my home country Trinidad and Tobago. Not sure what to make of that...

Michael Vaughan: "Throughout his innings we tested him with a few things. We brought long-on up and he slapped it straight back over our heads. We tried 7-2 and 8-2 fields."
I would be interested to see these 8-2 fields...

That'd be when Rikki Clarke came on - he's twice as good in the field as anyone else

Yeah, because I'm the only one whose ever said the West Indians don't play as a team and are more interested in looking good and their own success than the team's. And also because Trinidad and Tobago constitutes all of the West Indian team. So yes, since those two statements are verifiably true, I have gravely insulted your entire home culture.
