**Official** England in The West Indies

Could it be that the West Indies has played well, regardless of the opposition?

Keep in mind that this is literally not the same West Indies team that played in South Africa. Best, Hinds and Devon Smith are all making returns to Test cricket.

no its just strange best and smith struggled against australia, edwards struggled against south africa, ryan hinds has struggled everywhere until now. and even in the summer andrew hall came from nowhere and started getting wickets and scoring runs and even neil mckenzie. its just strange how they all show up against the english

Well Best has put in a lot of work in the last year and after he was dropped last year, he was determined to get back into the team and forced his way in with a superb FC season.

Smith I maintain wasn't that bad against Australia and looked very competent most times.

Ryan Hinds was never really given a consistent run and scored a fine half-century on debut.

Edwards was clearly fatigued in South Africa and looks a lot fresher now.

Still, you may have a point.

Best's action has improved 10 fold since when I last saw him play.... He looks pretty good now :)

Except for the injury jinx striking yet again and further evidence of Sanford's ineffectivenes at this level, it's been a very encouraging performance by the Windies bowlers.

The contagious enthusiasm of Tino has been a joy to watch and he's bowled well, though should perhaps concentrate on line and length a little more.

A potential bowling attack of Edwards, Best, Lawson and Rampaul has the potential to be quite tasty in the not too distant future.

Even stevens right now...293/7.

Hoggard comes in before Jones?
It's because Jones is ridiculously over-rated with the bat thanks to a slog-filled 44 on debut, whilst Hoggard can defend and it's a new ball.

Freddie out...game back in the balance again
Why Why Why?

Just when he looks to be back on top of the game, he does this.

A typical Freddie innings in every sense of the word
