Congrats England
First blood.
First blood.
I think we would have lost anyway given that ridiculous performance from Salt.Next match drop Shamar and bring in Matthew Forde
At the moment, Sammy's plan for Shamar doesn't align with what Shamar want to do. I know that is a lot to say, but the role he is playing in this team is quite haphazard. Maybe this is something that Sammy's said to all his bowlers: multi-roles?I think we would have lost anyway given that ridiculous performance from Salt.
But Shamar is not a white ball bowler yet. He needs some domestic experience first. Alzarri comes in for him when he's back, that's an obvious one, but tomorrow I agree, Forde comes in.
Salt owns us tbh. I'd love to know his record against us versus everyone else in T20. He seems to be our kryptonite. But, let's not take anything away from Phil Majestic Salt. He owned this chase.
You sure about this?Last time I saw Salt he was bald, how did he get a fresh mop?

Literally half of his runs are against us even though we only account for less than a third of the fixtures he's played. Blimey.
Probably not even a discussion nowadays. The saddest thing about Jacks is that his game appears to have deteriorated rather than kicked on over the last couple of years.Salt >>>> Jacks now then forever
Usually when the top order struggle but the guys lower down the order smash runs, it’s a sign that the pitch isn’t bad!I hardly ever miss when it comes to my team.
Not sure Salt should be neither, sure, it’s great to see him hitting a ton here, but he’s struggled to get to grips with the longer format. Expect our CT squad to look very different to what we’ve been fielding of late, but it’s hard to know exactly how the likes of Root and possibly Stokes will adapt back to 50 over cricketProbably not even a discussion nowadays. Jacks certainly shouldn't be in the CT side, assuming that Duckett, Root, Brook and Buttler are available.
Anyway, cracking innings by Salt, and another valuable contribution by Bethell who, to use the dread phrase, seems to 'have something'.
Hmm, I think he gets the chance after the last 2 50s in the form, not convinced myself, but it's gonna be hard to bed in anyone else now, give him the CT, and if he fails look for someone else for the future, Banton or Crawley perhaps. Not sure Salt should be neither, sure, it’s great to see him hitting a ton here, but he’s struggled to get to grips with the longer format. Well, the wicket was playing fine, it's just that our batsmen all went gung-ho. There was no one in the middle-order who actually tried to stabilize the innings. Boundaries or bust. It got us to 180. Let's just say that the experiment somewhat worked. I don't condone the chaos.Usually when the top order struggle but the guys lower down the order smash runs, it’s a sign that the pitch isn’t bad!
