**Official** England in the West Indies 2017

Comms just said that the WI have only managed to bat for the entire 50 overs 6 times in their last 80 ODIs - that is ****ing appalling
18, not 80 - but still appalling

That's exactly why I don't blame Kraigg or Darren Bravo for their slow scoring rates. West Indies desperately need 2-3 decent cakes. Bravo was a decent cake, and Kraigg is trying to become one. They have enough hitters. As soon as 2-3 players at the top start consistently scoring centuries and half-centuries (maybe with SR around 70), their batting will start to look somewhat threatening.

West Indies could have won this if Shannon Gabriel was fit. Now it seems easy against the 6th bowler - especially with both Plunkett and Rashid averaging in 20s

Speaks volumes about WI cricket that I read the incorrect (80) version and thought 'Wow, that's unbelievably shocking' but didn't actually doubt it was accurate.

Woakes doing all the legwork here. Joe's going to miss out on another bloody hundred whether he gets out or not isn't he.

Woakes really is a very calm batsman, I mean we've always had guys down the order who can bat, but they're generally hit and miss merchants like moeen, but Woakes exudes calm.

He's the king at looking excellent at the crease. But failing to make a ton in both test and ODI's

IMO this is one of the main reasons why Kraigg Brathwaite is in the side. Replace him with another flash-in-the-pan batter and they'd barely make 40 overs. I'm sure I read somewhere that they were thinking about introducing a bonus point for batting the full 50 in the regional 50 over tournament to try and encourage batting the full 50.

He's just taken safe singles every ball for the last 45 minutes. Perfectly sound until Woakes gets out but ehhh.

Woakes stopped the Root century but he has looked superb. Timed the ball as well as anyone on a dog of a pitch.

England's depth is basically hax. Basically have to get them all out to have a sigh of relief.

Seriously, I know it's almost the least important ODI ever, but really pleased to see us fighting back from the collapse so well.

Of course, the fact the collapse happened is perhaps a worrying concern.
