Right you are, Saj Mahmood his replacementHe got the axe from the ODI team, was picked for the Tests.

Err no he isn't. He's an awful limited overs player because he bowls extremely expensive spells.Right you are, Saj Mahmood his replacement. Hardly fills anyone with confidence does he. Why is Plunkett not in the ODI format, he was a very good ODI player, far better at onedays than test.
Who Saj or Plunkett? Because Plunkett IMPO still has a little credibility based on what he did against Australia in the Commonwealth series.Err no he isn't. He's an awful limited overs player because he bowls extremely expensive spells.
In FC cricket he's still expensive at times but if you take wickets like he does then it's not a problem. Bowling 4-5 overs for 40 in OD cricket, which he does regularly is disastrous. In FC cricket he has good games where he'll completely destroy batting lineups whilst everyone else does nothing, whilst still adding runs and so on otherwise.
How long ago? Players develop, Plunkett had a good year last season and in all fairness was pretty close to the front of the line once the selectors made the decision not to take Harmison.Who Saj or Plunkett? Erm I was saying Plunkett is ahead of Saj. Saj is an enigma, extremely quick on his day but perhaps unfairly branded the New Harmison but in a way quite true, he has yet to find his mentor who can bring him alive in international cricket. Both potential assets for England though. How long ago? Plunkett has been hopeless this season in OD cricket for Durham.Right you are, Saj Mahmood his replacement. Hardly fills anyone with confidence does he. Why is Plunkett not in the ODI format, he was a very good ODI player, far better at onedays than test.
FC batting average of 49 with 3 centuries in 10 matches this summer, and averaged 76 on the Lions tour last winter. Plus he's shown that he has a certain amount of temperament when playing ODIs. Plus the bowling adds a certain amount of value.WTF is Wright doing near the test side my god. Some of the worst selectorial blunders the selectors have made in years.
Yo I really hope you are being sarcastic here maynnnFC batting average of 49 with 3 centuries in 10 matches this summer, and averaged 76 on the Lions tour last winter. Plus he's shown that he has a certain amount of temperament when playing ODIs. Plus the bowling adds a certain amount of value.
They're his season stats, there's nothing sarcastic about that.Yo I really hope you are being sarcastic here maynnn
So you don't think based on what you have seen of Wright ODIs, that those FC performances is more of indictment of our FC system - rather than any potential ability Wright has currently or wi ever have to be considered a test quality prospect?.They're his season stats, there's nothing sarcastic about that.
You do realise players can be genuinely better at one form of the game than another? So you don't think based on what you have seen of Wright ODIs, that those FC performances is more of indictment of our FC system - rather than any potential ability Wright has currently or wi ever have to be considered a test quality prospect?.
His selection is just as dumb as when Rikki Clarke was chosen in 2003/04 in the test side. That selection panel needs revamping immediately.
Nope. I don't buy the 'indictment of the county game' any time England aren't playing well. I quite like what I've seen of Wright in ODIs in terms of his temperament and ability. In so far as his FC county performances go, I can only go on stats as I haven't seen Sussex play.So you don't think based on what you have seen of Wright ODIs, that those FC performances is more of indictment of our FC system - rather than any potential ability Wright has currently or wi ever have to be considered a test quality prospect?.
