It wasn't 170 after 80 overs. Those new ball overs at the end of the day were quite something. I really cannot think of having seen such a thing before! Not from 170/5 after 80 overs.

On the scoreboard, maybe. But in the context of how SA have been playing of late and the way they just collapsed mentally in that last hour, you guys are already well on the way to having this locked up already.Good day in the end. We aren't hugely on top but good first hour tomorrow can set us up. One of these two has to ton up (both obviously would be ideal) in order for us to really get a big score but 420 should be very gettable from here.
I just realised how much you're going to rub this in when we record the next podcast tomorrow.Brilliant partnership, swung the day right back to us.
Tons in the morning?
270... typo....corrected!It wasn't 170 after 80 overs.
This Test, or better said, this series, could do with some quick wickets in the morning. Sure, I can see why England fans want 450 or so. But even if SA would keep England to 350, my money would be on England. Let's face it. SA are out of form batting-wise. And England have some fired up & well-balanced attack.Brilliant partnership, swung the day right back to us.

Yeah they don't look like a South African side as they always fight but in the last test (4th morning) and today they look to have run out of ideas and given up. A team very low in confidence at present. On the scoreboard, maybe. But in the context of how SA have been playing of late and the way they just collapsed mentally in that last hour, you guys are already well on the way to having this locked up already.
Yeah but is there a worse team at restarting overnight? We could be 325-7 after 3 overs tomorrow quite easily. On the scoreboard, maybe. All too true.Yeah but is there a worse team at restarting overnight? We could be 325-7 after 3 overs tomorrow quite easily.
The betting is that way not just because of the position, but also because of the way the Saffa's look out there and how they looked in the last test.SA are 4.33, England are 1.83
That is mental, folks. Go SA now and lay England when they get over 2s at some point tomorrow. Draw isn't happening with 5 days of sun
If anything England are value at that price, yeah they may collapse in the morning, worst case scenario they are all out for 360 or which is still a strong first innings score, however judging from the last hour of play and looking at the lower order, its likely they will get past 420 which will ensure the out of form Saffers are in a world of pain. The betting is that way not just because of the position, but also because of the way the Saffa's look out there and how they looked in the last test.
I like it!
Given that they cant get past 200 these days, no thanksSA are 4.33, England are 1.83

Cricket: A game in which only the players that you rate ever perform and every game is exactly the same as the last one.SA's only hope of getting anything from this match is a huge innings from ABDV. There's no other way that they'll get near England's total.
