It wouldn't be an England victory without a little stumble to prevent the 10 wicket win. Final 10 runs cost 3 wickets...
It would have been more in true England style to be 10/3 and then reach the target without further loss but maximising the anxiety of their supporters. It wouldn't be an England victory without a little stumble to prevent the 10 wicket win. Final 10 runs cost 3 wickets...
First since India 2012...They did very well against some good new ball bowling to make it to 50-0 and remove the last shred of doubt from the match. After that it got... weird.
But SERIES WIN AWAY. Best since India 2012 no doubt and in many ways better. This could be the beginning of a really quite superb team.
Yep. Either this or Trentbridge imo.Was Root's 110 his best test century (yet)?
Yes, was a couple of tiers ahead of any other batsmen on that pitch. Was Root's 110 his best test century (yet)?
If only I'd put my money where my mouth was.300 would do IMO.
I fancy us to roll them though.
Broad won the game. Has to be him.Root or Broad MOTM?
Very difficult but I think Broad just edges it...
I agree it should be Broad, but fair enough if Root gets it, imo. Highest scorer in the match by almost 2xBroad won the game. Has to be him.
Interesting how contrasting his contributions have been in those series:Cook is the first England captain ever to win in both India and South Africa.
Called it. Should have bet money that it would have been Broad to cause it as well. Gotta go check the highlights, sounds like an incredible spell.Theres swing and bounce here. Amla looking good, but this does feel like a lollapse kinda pitch. Just need one of their quicks to hit their straps.
Taylor's catching is amazing as well.WTF South Africa.
