Would Stokes get into every Test side in the world? He's so valuable its unreal, is there a better fast bowling all-rounder? He M.Marsh and C. Anderson have a lot of potential to be very good, who will be the best?

M.Marsh is the best bowler of the lot, Stokes the best batsmen probably (not that much in it but he clearly has played innings far and above the rest). Would say Anderson has a fair bit more to prove as not sure he has made massive impact with either discipline yet.

So hyped already to get up and watch this tomorrow. Best kind of Test match.

Root really needs to make it count here.

Stokes is the most damaging as a batsman by far (though Anderson can also tap it)

An absolutely nightmare to bowl too when he's on.

Nah Stokes shades MMarsh with the ball IMO. Marsh has overperformed a bit with the ball in his career to date, and Stokes hasn't realised his ability yet (Ian Bell dropped catches not helping much, either).

Stokes bowls a lot of garbage even when he is bowling well though (Van Zyl's dismissal also makes up for Bell's catching. One of the worst balls to get a wicket as I've seen). Marsh seems much more consistent, if slightly less threatening.

Yeah, I'm rating Stokes a lot more on potential/what I think he can do as compared to what he's actually done at Test level. But he's a guy who can bowl 140+, swings the ball and has a slightly awkward action to face. He adds any semblance of consistency to that, and he's got the potential to be anything.

MMarsh is, though also inconsistent, a steadier bowler right now -- I don't disagree with you at all. But Stokes at his best blows MMarsh away entirely.

Partnership is already 85 in just 12 overs, *****. Stokes making runs faster than the Indians did in the ODI today.

Yeah that is fair, Marsh is unlikely to ever take 6 for 30 odd like Stokes did in TB.

AB's lack of reaction to this counter attack is really poor. People got on Amla for his lack of reaction but AB has been exactly the same except he has far more help in the pitch and had a much better position to attack from. Think they are regretting their lack of a spin option, as I said they would.

Great innings from Stokes, but should have converted there and we could have gone a long way to winning the series. Just before rain as well.
