Fair call, the fourth/fifth bowler isn`t a great place for us at the moment!

Just randomly, what do you do for a crust? You seem like a teacher.
I don't work at the moment, will be learning to drive shortly after I pick who I want driving lessons off of.

As for England's position, because they batted first they're still close to parity in this Test, as I said before a team has to be pretty dominant to overcome the opposition batting first in Pakistan. A good performance tomorrow could put England firmly in control. Pakistan could play well for 2-3 more days and still end up in like a reverse of the first Test, chasing a smallish total and stuffing up.

I do hope Peter Henderson is Clown Symonds so there's an excuse to ban both of them.
I do hope you're simply kidding so there's reason to believe that you're not going to pluck off whatever feathers you have left.

I'm going by observation. Instead of talking about how every team uses underhanded tactics, why don't you give us any reason to believe that England doesn't do so more than everyone else. Vaughan running from position to position, fielders claiming catches they dropped, Collingwood not walking - maybe even trying to convince the umpire that he wasn't out - after clearly edging the ball... All that is what England have done just this tour. And their legacy of such behaviour goes all the way back to bodyline and beyond. I've never considered Australia "somehow immune". It just happens that Australia doesn't need to cheat in order to win, and they play the game cleanly. You are simply jealous.

Anything having to do with the ICC isn't worth paying much attention to.

Actually, I honestly would have been fine with Haydos and Langer getting out early and not going on to score big, if they truly were out LBW. Any batsman, even an Australian one, doesn't deserve anything after getting out. I wouldn't complain about the team's position, no, but the individual scores would bother me. Being out LBW and going on, though, is one thing - being caught behind and going on is another.

I'm sick and tired of grumpy, discontented people making personal attacks against me (or others, for that matter) simply because they don't like to hear certain things, usually about their beloved English team. You accuse me of "whinging" when all I did was comment on my displeasure at batsmen going on after clearly being out. Then you go on to say that that's all I do. I suppose you are quite sensitive about any negative comments about England, so you see anything like that as being whinging. And I suppose you are either not very observant (since the balance between my complaints and other comments is equivelant to that of pretty much everyone else here), or only notice the posts I make that have to do with England.

Even if I do whinge on occasion, which pretty much everyone here does regularly, I only whinge about things having to do with cricket. You, on the other hand, whinge about other members when you have absolutely no right to. As for me boring you - I couldn't care less. You can join that bird and put me on your ignore list. As I said to it, I could easily do without your snide remarks.
Well, I'm pleasantly surprised that you've agreed with me on the Hayden and Langer issue (sort of), so thanks. But the reason I bite on your posts so often is quite simply because you refuse to give England any credit for anything ever, and I'm an English fan. If I went around slating Australia as much as you slate England, you'd get annoyed, too. The reason I accuse you of whinging is because you rarely say much positive about anyone, and the reason I accuse you of boring me is because you've accused England of cheating so often this series it's ridiculous, considering you actually supported Shahid Afridi, at least in one post. I'm not going to add you to my ignore list, because after reading that long post, I do think you probably have a bit to contribute to the forum - I just wish you'd cool your hatred for Poms a little bit. Seeing as you've said in the past how much you hate us, I don't think I can be blamed for at least trying to stick up for my country and my team.

Well, yes, I do hate England. I don't think that can be helped. But I will try and keep my criticism of them to a reasonable level, since it apparently so offends you and others. I supported Shahid Afridi because what he did was so outrageous that it became very entertaining. That was blatant cheating though, probably more so than most of the English examples. I have made many comments about the issue of cheating because it really bothers me. I think that England should be setting the (positive) example, since England is the home and birthplace of the game.

I dont have issue with poor umpiring decisions..however I have issues with people claiming they did not edge it by raising their hand..

Yeah all those 3 should take over Cairns' record. How many more Gilly will hit will be interesting though.
Yes - assuming he goes out after the World Cup - how many more games does that give him?

Now I've heard it all.

Comparing walking on LBW's (Which were by no means "plumb" BTW) to hitting the cover off it and being caught behind and clearly knowing you did so.
Nobody mentioned walking in the original comment, just players that were clearly out relaitvely early in the innings going on to make centuries...

Whatever it takes!!!
Vaughan and his boys would be feeling terrible, after messing up from such a good position. But it could still work out well for them. Maybe going on an all out attack with the ball would help.

A lot depends on Inzy again, though. HIm and Butt can effectively seal the series for Pak if they bat to potential.

Not too much bias in the cricinfo write up then.

"But once Vaughan picked out square-leg England fell apart to a mixture of poor shots and poor luck."

"He had moments of fortune - especially an inside edge against Shoaib on 54 that Darrell Hair missed - but it was the break he needed."

Where exactly was the poor luck?

Trescothick being caught off his boot.
I would just think of classifying poor luck as a significant factor based on one wicket, which wasn't even a contentious decision was a bit of a stretch considering Collingwood got such a reprieve.

It makes it sound like Pakistan got the benefit of LBW's which pitched outside leg, got an inside edge and were going over the top...off of missed no balls.

Edited.

2nd time this year, wasn't it? At least, I think it was Tresco who did that against Warne at Old Trafford or Trent Bridge.

Which begs the question whether it's more about a lack of skill at executing the stroke properly, rather than purely luck.
