***Official*** England in Pakistan

Why are the commentators so keen on Salman Butt being subbed? If they have to sub a batsman for Kaneria (which I dont agree with doing in the first place), then why Butt? Clearly hes further up the pecking order than Yasir Hameed. And why do they believe doing this will result in Afridi opening? Kamran Akmal would clearly open, as he has done all series with success. In fact, it wouldnt shock me to see Kamran open and Yasir Hameed bat down the order even without subbing...

Some very frustrating and stupid comments being made!

rana naved was on a hattrick. Must have been the 3rd person in 3 diff test matches after harbhajan yest. and nel in the SAF match

That would have to be the most plumb lbw ever given not out.
Explain.

Great bowling effort by Pakistan, they should get the total with relative ease.

The role of the anchor isn't just to sit there and not get out though. Its to get big scores at a fairly decent rate. Vaughan has shown he doesn't have that capability, as he has no ODI hundreds as of yet.
The way our batting is falling apart, anyone who can just not get out is a bonus!

Whoa, two wickets early on. Anderson subbed for Flintoff, a very interesting move. Must be too tired, poor baby. :baby:

Yasir Hameed playing pretty well coming in at 3. Given the opportunity to bat there with Younis Kahn probably batting at 5. Pakistan doing it easy now at 2/77.

Bell drops Yasir Hameed, it was a dolly catch too. Why didn't he try and claim that one? ;)

Poor Udal, how many opportunities does this poor bald man get to take international wickets? That's just not fair.

Thought Younis Khan did a marvellous job on Monday and looked far more spontaneous and inventive than Inzi could ever be.
Problem with Younis Khan was he set fairly defensive fields and allowed the tail to pick up singles with relative ease. Taking Afridi off was the right decision, he was spraying the ball near the end..

If only England had 30 more runs to play with, this could have been a very interesting game.

It still could be, but with the spinners on, all seems lost for England. Nice test-style fifty for Yasir!

Someone make a 'Fielding XI' thread and think about putting Colly in there! Insane man.

Bowling Blackwell near the death is a pretty good move IMO, he can be very difficult to put away.
