Why?

The seperate frames showed quite clearly that the bails had been dislodged before Butt was able to drag his bat 'inside' the crease.
Im not so sure about that to be honest. The stumps had definately been disturbed, but whether or not the bails had actually been dislodged seemed like a close call.

I probably would have given it out, but it was a lot closer than suggested.

If I could turn up the volume I would have no need to ask you guys. I am watching via PTV and they insist on inflicting their own brand of commentators on us - listening to them for more than five minutes is liable to send you with a potentially lethal bout of dementia.
The commentators are apoplectic - just a good job it's Paul Allott and not Ian Botham otherwise we could have had an international incident (unless his mother-in-law just happens to be a good umpire, of course)

The run out just before was an absolute joke. Clearly out. I think some 3rd umpires call for so many replays, that they start to see things which aren't there. You could tell, after that one particular angle, that it was out - just give it, and move on.

I don't see how Pakistan is on equal footing at the moment. They are 2 down (likely three before long), still 19 runs in the deficit, need to play out the whole of today AND score around 350 runs to have any chance of winning the game...
It depends how you see the pitch playing on Day 5: I'm assuming that Kaneria will be a real handful. Beyond that, England's batting is in poor shape apart from one obvious exception, so I wouldn't fancy them chasing many more than 150, especially if Tres goes cheaply. Of course, both of us were being suitably pessimistic about our own team's chances.

Looking ahead now, I wonder how brave Inzi will be with the declaration if they're still batting at the end of today.

Now the commentators trying to justify 3rd umpire's decision. Inzi getting lucky out there now. Calm down big guy.
At the end of the day, it's not out (look in the book).

As I type this, Inzy fancies getting back for the chocolate eclair.

New ball makes Inzy think it will swing.

It doesn't.

Ball goes straight.

Inzy leaves it.

Ball hits pad.

Thank god for that.

What was Inzi thinking? Swing or not, he shouldn't have tried to leave the ball.

Those last two boundaries by Yousef before drinks were great. I thought I was watching a replay.

I can just imagine Inzy asking for an eclaire and someone mis-hearing it.

Inzy: "I want an enclair"

*batsmen walk off*
