Wow england have picked a 36 year old! Interesting to see how he goes.
Very steady indeed. Got tanked in his first over but has come close on a couple of occasions to picking up a wicket.

I hope he goes alright. I think it is great that someone so old can still be considered for test selection.

Dion Nash is 34 or something yet retired 2-3 years ago. Sure he was injury plagued (Like Geoff Allot) but I really do hate the way that some players pull the plug once they hit the early 30's.

I think we should make him catch everything off slips' heads/knees/backsides...
its almost as if because he makes so many errors, he's expecting it of those around him and so he's ready to react when they do happen :p

Yes, it's quite unusual now for England. Almost Australian-like, giving guys with zimmer frames their debut.

He's bowling superbly as well.

Bad time for Inzy to come to the wicket, just a quarter of an hour before tea.

I reckon he was just eyeing up the jam tarts and now he's had to go out to the middle. Bet that git Shoaib Akhtar pinches that yummy cream horn too.

Kamal looked in awful form in the first warmup and Raza scored the match winning innings in the other?

do you reckon this first day has been all about england learning the conditions a little and getting used to such dead pitches?

or were they already full prepared for such a thing and pakistan have just batted well?

or they are still shaking off hangover/nerves?

fair enough, but i think thats a bit unfair to Kamal for a bloke who has done pretty well for Pakistan in that position, but hopefully the pakistani's know what their doing...
