*OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

Molehill

Cricketer Of The Year
Pakistan obviously still in a very strong position, but they've certainly lost impetus in this innings at the moment. Should've been heading to about 400 in the day, now nowhere near it.

Can see England either capitulating when they come out to bat, or giving Pakistan that tricky 3rd innings to negotiate.

Interesting 1st day. Chris Woakes has showed (Up until this point) why people think him going overseas is a bad idea from the England Management.

So from being totally on top Pakistan have given us a chink of light in this session. Get the nightwatchman early and another one and they could be 350-6 after being 260-1.

Good from England to drag the run rate back on a flat pitch.

England will be a lot happier than they were after the first two sessions. Considering how the flat the pitch is they managed to get the run rate under control as Shan and Shafique began struggle in the heat and after they perished to tired shots England have now got the bonus of Babar. Pakistan once again showing their inability to really shut the door on the opposition, something that could cost them big, again.

It had the prospect of Pakistan being 400+ with a few wickets left in the shed at the close. Should England get a couple early doors tomorrow, I won't say that the initiative is with them, but the whole shape of the match will look rather different than at tea today.
