Good session for England. NZ have to hope that Southee can hang around for a while and smoke some dingers and keep the deficit under 50. Even then with this NZ bowling attack it’s hard to imagine NZ staying in the contest unless Southee triggers a collapse under lights.

Come to think of it, Stead and Larsen had brought in Cam Fletcher in the mix last year. Thankfully Blundell scored some runs vs South Africa otherwise he'd have been replaced. Then England happened. In fact Cam Fletcher should be given t20 opportunities meanwhile Dane Cleaver should be the incumbent in the red ball.
