NZTailender
I can't believe I ate the whole thing
If we gift another 50 to a glorified tailender...
Worth staying up to see the nightwatchman score a 50?The ball seems to have almost stopped swinging. Good news for England, bad news for anyone hoping for an interesting day's cricket. Or to stay up to 4:30am to watch the whole thing.
Worth staying up because I only got out of bed at 1pm and have bought food especially to keep myself going through the night. Also, I don't get to watch any of our home Tests live because I'm busy working/playing/coaching so I have to make the most of this...Worth staying up to see the nightwatchman score a 50?
Hey, we've earned the right to be aggressive. This is why children aren't allowed positions of responsibility.
Got to say, coming from the Land of the Short Opening Partnership, I loved watching Richardson bat. No matter how slow, how ugly, or how much he blocked. Remember him getting this 50 and literally thinking "I don't care how long he takes" (50 came up off 179 balls FYI).I like watching Compton bat. It may just be because he's 'new' though; I always quite enjoy watching good players I haven't seen much of and getting used to how they bat, unless they're really obviously ungainly. Compton has just played a lot of slow, defensive innings this far, because it's been justified more than not. It'll be interesting to see if he picks up the pace in other circumstances; I think he'd be quite good to watch if he was looking to get on top, personally.

Finn certainly has.Hey, we've earned the right to be aggressive.
Ha yeah. Tip for all pedestrian medium pacers, grunt and run your mouth as much as possible and you'll come off looking better then what you are."Wagner just has a big heart and will keep trying for you all day."
Watch out Siddle!
You mean Bartin's batting average ISN'T going to be 41?Is it sour grapes to despise this pitch?
I mean us having a 150 opening partnership demonstrates everything you need to know about the likelihood of a result.
I think it puts a lot of things into context, batting wise.Is it sour grapes to despise this pitch?

No. Pitches like this kill Test cricket as a contest. Is it sour grapes to despise this pitch?

Fixed.No. Pitches like this kill Test cricket.
I think the domestic pitches earlier in the season were much fairer.I think it puts a lot of things into context, batting wise.
Does the ball usually swing for longer in domestix?
