**Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Southee should be allowed to bat in coloured clothing and if he hits it into the ‘Tim Southee Zone’ it should count as 12 not 6.
Our batsmen have paid a great tribute to Southee today by throwing away their wickets in idiotic fashion.

I'm looking forward to watching the master show them how it's done when he strides to the crease today.

Stokes giving Santner a wake up call there, that was a brute of a ball, there is something in this pitch if you bowl fast and short.

Take note O'Rourke, he needs to return fire when we bowl.

Did they call the pitch wrong, or just not take advantage? No new ball wickets and the old ball ones being mostly ring catches.
England definitely didn't play well in the first session. Way too many half volleys and a couple dropped chances. That and the openers batted well. Since lunch England have tightened up and NZ crumbled.

There needs to be a name for the period from around 75 overs ahead of the second new ball, when lower order players get toey and feel like they need to get their runs now. The 'near death' or similar

There is enough in this pitch for the bowlers, it doesn't look like an easy batting pitch.

We were lucky to get to lunch no wickets down but England have bowled better since lunch to take advantage of the pitch and we haven't batted well.

That being said, the pitch will probably look like a road when England bat as they Bazball their way to another big total.
