There are bowlers whose slower ball is 75mph, but thats actually our boy Pathan's speed!

Four straight deliveries at 75-77mph.....what the hell is going on?

Pathan shouldnt be playing if he is unfit and cant bowl at a good pace or if he is trying to bowl so slow for line and length. It makes absolutely no sense.

Pathan is blowing air from his mouth as if he is tired or something. I can walk to the batsman from the other end before his ball gets there.

Ahh, there's his slowie. 66.
If you are going to bowl at 66mph, then you might as well bring Kumble on. He can bowl close to that, and at least he can get some variations in flight and bounce.

EDIT: And there they are....Harbhajan Singh. And a defensive field. Yay! 10 overs into the series and we are already on the backfoot.

What surprises me is wha tthe hell are Dravid and Chappell doing ? They watch Pathan day in and day out and yet select him into the team as our main bowler ?

There should be a law in India mandating that any pace bowler with an average speed lower than 82mph should be ineligible to play for test team.

We'd run the risk of playing 4 spinners if that were to happen.

We already are playing 4 spinners, except two of them think they are pace bowlers. So basically we are playing four spinners, two of whom don't spin the ball.

Pathan need to generate some speed, he need to realise that its not everyday that he will get to bowl to batsmen of the class of Butt and Yousuf!

I think for India, Santh and Kumble will get most wickets.

Strauss' technique is in such a mess. he has what you can call the 'gary kirsten syndrome', playing with a crooked bat that comes down from leg stump. he really sets himself up for plenty of inside edge dismissals and caught behinds.
i also look forward to watching cook vs harbhajan, because he has barely any experience against any sort of spin, and the fact that its highly unlikely that he will be able to spot the doosra, given that hes just joined the england camp and has probably never played against or watched extensive video coverage of harbhajan singh.

According to TMS commentators, Harbhajan is nearing the test record for consecutive deliveries without taking a wicket.
