Munaf was/is the fastest bowler in India now.(bowls at an average of 145 km/hr). Probably English bowlers might have done slower as it was practice match. I remember munaf bowled a 152 km/hr ball against NZL in a practice match.
145 sounds about the same pace as Flintoff and Harmison, so that makes sense that he might have had the quickest ball. I didn't know Munaf was so quick. Seems to have a good FC record too.

If Jones doesn't have a good tour in India, i think we should be replacing him, his batting has really not produced much in either form for the last year. However, Fletcher thinks he is a good lad, so i can't see it happening
yea probably but has you said knowing fletcher it might not happen..

He's actually not, he merely glory-hunts in the cricket and supports Australia.

His spelling ability is similar to what most Aussies would be at though, so an easy mistake to make...
this would be funny if anything was true..

I don't think I've ever been this excited about India's pace brigade.
Sreesanth is fiery and showed great promise against Pakistan.
Munaf Patel and VR Singh are both 6+ feet and generate good pace.
If they can bowl out England tomorrow, that will be quite a feat.

I havent seen him but I am told he is quick. Surely faster than Pathan.

There is mixed opinion on Munaf's pace. He may not be as fast as some have made him out to be but still quicker than Pathan which isnt saying much.:)

Munaf's first spell against England in the first innings was ordinary. VRV looked more impressive which I think accounts for his inclusion over Munaf who I read had a dream post tea spell.

So tell me then, why do you support Australia desite having no connection with the country? Wasn't it something to do with them hammering England in the 1997 Ashes?

so how good is the coverage, Arjun?
The Doordarshan signal is a little fuzzy– guess it's too much to ask for a cable-TV-clear signal. The pictures are a lot clearer than Trans World (who made a mess of the Pakistan tour of India coverage) and Doordarshan's in-house coverage, which was, predictably, terrible. They come with lots of bonuses, and treat this like a full-fledged international match.

All I can say is that you are so lucky you can watch cricket. Enjoy it till you can dude. For you will realise cricket watching to be a rarity in due course when work takes over your life.

The US President George Bush aims to watch some matches while visiting India

Faster than the English bowlers?
well when hoggard walked in as night watchman it got his tail up a bit and he bowled one at 142 kph. that was the fastest for the match, the english bowlers were around 130, so nobody really bowled quick.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Cook, he looks like a real talent and this would be a great challenge for the kid.
