Why do people want G. Jones out? He's been our most consistent batsman in this series after KP (not hard I know), especially when considering the situations he's been coming into, and his keeping all winter has been much improved over the Ashes.
well he's supposedly just on the verge of having recovered from some injury, no?

Wrong, Prior is better(yes,i know it's a minute difference)

The problem is, this is Jones' average when he's playing well, Prior is a long way away form the top of his game, but is still scoring as many runs as Jones.

We don't need two keepers, and Prior is by far the better batsman, so Jones has to go, in ODIs at least.

Wow, what a pathetic list.

But the crowd threw sticks and bottles and started burning stands before the tear gas came along. So it was called for. The conclusion is ... blame the cops, blame the fans AND blame the BCCI. Oh, blame Dalmiya too ... just for fun.
Dude, cops brutality against the fans is well known, even in the Faridabad they beat up people with batons and didn't allow to enter some people who had valid tickets.

Yeah I'm not denying the cops' brutality against generally innocent fans. In general, the security and officials are far more to blame than the fans.

In this Guwahati incident though, that's not entirely the case. If you're getting tear gas in the stands, you leave the stadium rather than throwing rocks or whatever back at policemen. What was the camera-breaking all about? Nothing to do with the cops there, the fans were just being foolishly destructive. Their frustration is understandable, but that doesn't excuse their outlandish actions.

Most fans were leaving, its just that some idiots started tearing banners, which is not such a huge crime that police started throwing tear gas.

"Police had to lob tear gas shells to disperse the crowd after a section of spectators turned unruly, burning posters and banners in the gallery."

Police doesn't have to show its power everywhere, they could have tried other means. Initially there were a few idiots, the tear gas act made almost entire stadium erupt.

That's true, but the police is there to control the situation, although they almost always make a mess of it in India. Burning things in the stands doesn't call for tear gas? They're damaging the stadium. Besides, tear gas isn't going to kill you or anything. Instead of leaving the stadium, these idiots (only a few I know, but it's always only a "few", whether in Kolkata, Mumbai or Guwahati) decided to go all-out. Not commendable under any circumstances. As long as they were throwing plastic bottles on the field, it's tolerable ... but fire, serious injuries (one cop was unconscious) and major damage (those cameras cost a ********) are inexcusable.

Botham "can't understand why Hoggard hasn't been in this England ODI side"

Hoggard reminds him why.

With this bowling attack SA's record could be under threat.
