I just hope Gambhir doesn't play his usual cameo of 20-30 runs and then goes out. We can't have 2 openers that do that, because Sehwag does it enough already :p
Right on the money there

Yuvraj gone!

My my, the crowd certainly like Dhoni don't they. He got a great reception, not unlike a certain Indian batsman 5 or so years ago...

damn that ball died on kaif
Thats not really a shock. The bounce has been low right from the beginning. This is not a wicket on which to play horizontal bat shots to deliveries on the stumps.

It was the same with Gambhir and now Kaif. International cricketers are expected to play according to conditions.

As I was typing that, there goes Yuvraj playing horizontal AND against the turn !!

This is where Strauss was different. He played back most of the time but only with a straight bat and got runs from those.

Norwood's on Fire
This is the crucial wicket now. If we can prevent these from making a partnership surely we will go on and win.

raina tried to pull another from Plunkett and just managed to get bat on it.

When will they ever learn....

If we can prevent you from preventing us from making this partnership surely the reverse may happen....:)

... which is looking increasingly likely.

Given the slowness of the pitch, I wonder if Collingwood might be a better bet than the quicks.

Aye, Colly on 'keeper up to the stumps see if they fancy taking on mid-off/on.

E2A: According to cricbuzz they are at long not mid, boooooo.

If Dhoni bats in tests the way he's currently batting, he'll be good enough. That Mumbai spectacle was just bizarre.

Yes, he's doing very well at the moment, nothing stupid. The test will come once the required run rate starts climbing - usually that's when he excels, so we'll see how he treats it.

They're looking pretty comfortable, tbh, and England need a couple of wickets sharpish. Blackwell still has a few overs left doesn't he? That should be interesting at this stage of the game.

He's got 3 left, I assume he'll be back soon.

Dhoni and Raina doing such a nice job, looks like India seems to have mastered the art of chasing, which is good since WC is not much far now!
