Birth of a Legend

What a great start by Munaf Patel, he didn't get many wkts but the way he bowled, it was just BREATH TAKING!!

The guy was generating awesome speed, in mid to late 80 MPH in the latter part of the game. His yorker got to be the best in the game, KP was barely able to tackle it, and on top that guy has an amazing slower ball!! And though he didn't swing the older ball much, Munaf has the ability to really reverse swing the ball.

India has finally found a tear away fast bowler that is going to rock the cricket world.

What do u mean????
We've had an influx of new members supporting India saying that such and such is a demi-god for one six-over spell 4 yrs ago against a touring under-12 2nd XI from America.

Welcome to the forum, try not to fall into the trap of patriotism because you don't need to defend India's honour here as they already have plenty of respect from all corners of the globe. :)

I was/am actually talking about one guy, some ppl would like to disbelieve but its my prediction that 2 year from now Munaf Patel will be top bowler of the world.

Supposition, but it might be something to do with not wanting to scuff the ball and bring the reverse skills of Fred and Jonah (who would've toured if not for the latest injury) into it.
The thing is, wasn't Munaf reversing it yesterday?

KP's statement at the end of the day smacks of arrogance :-

"I don't let spinners bowl to me,I feel a little bit sorry for the little kid who bowled today but that's just how I play spinners."

Hmmm... Maybe he should have said something after his battle with Munaf, i loved the way Munaf fooled KP after shocking him with express deliveries!!

He did, and he gave Patel a lot of credit. It just wasn't written, because the websites and newspapers don't write everything down in the paper, they only take a chunk that sells and makes a good headline.

Since when has mid 80s been "awesome speed"?

Based on what? The sum total of no yorkers that he bowled to Pietersen?

This match seesm to be all but drawn, nearly two days has passed by and India hasn't even batted. This could be a bad news for India, they are the better team and should have been atleast 1-0 up by now, but unfotunately its still 0-0.

India will go into last match under pressure, as they are the home team and are expected to win the series, and they will have just one last match to win the series.India happen to be "poor last test match playing team". They lost the last test match to Pak played in India , thereby letting Pak drew the series, they lost the last test match to Pak, played in Pak, thereby letting Pak win the series and now they are up against a dangerous English team.

I would say India will be walking on thin ice in the last test match.

The one that did for KP was around 84mph. Anyway, whilst not express pace (by that I mean over 90mph) he looks decent enough, hopefully he can improve and be real find for India.

I think Mumbai will be a dust bowl and you'll win the series 1-0 personally.

How should India have been 1-0 up after the 1st Test?
