*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

This would be possibly the worst selection decision of all time and immediately shatter the entire Bazball project. If Joe Root has to look over his shoulder because he might be dropped for some bad shots, then say goodbye to any sort of clear-minded, free-spirited batting from England ever again.
No you don't understand, I'm not saying he should be dropped, it's called mind games ..

It doesn't have to be someone from the selection group , can be someone like Sir Boycott or Michael Vaughan in the media..

Great players do love when they are being challenged..I don't think Root is being challenged enough currently.

You're also not understanding. The entire, fundamental ethos of Bazball is that "mind games" are an evil and must be purged from the setup. Total mental clarity, total unquestioning support, no compromises. Start picking on Joe Root and the blokes who are half as good will be immediately worrying about their spots.

This series is proving that long hops may simply be the best balls to get wickets with. Dreadful cricket all round.
Leggies (or wrist-spinners in general) always get a solid proportion of their wickets like that tbf. Especially on a pitch as slow as this one

I don't know why teams don't bowl really wide to ducket with everyone on the off side because he can't/won't leave - even when he isn't spooning it in the air like that

Duckett is so hard to bowl at, his short height allows him to leave bouncers and he can get his bat down quicker to yorkers. As a fast bowler you need to be very skiddy when bowling to him.
