Obviously it'll depend on how they bowl but this is quickly approaching "actually competitive" territory here
eng have messed up by picking one pacer

except for gill all batters will back themselves to score big against noob spinners

i still think the selection decision is right. its worth having rehan or hartley in place of jimmy who wouldnt be useful with the bat and wouldn't have bowled that many overs

Also, Australia went with three spinners and one quick last year - Cummins as the only pacer, with Lyon, and then Murphy/Kuhnemann both making their debuts in that series with OK-ish first class records but nothing more. I don't recall whether Starc and Hazlewood were both fit but that was a gamble.

The ultimate balance for that team had three spinners and two quicks - given how much work they were expected to do (or not do), Green counted as a quick.

Troll our way to 250 and then they make it look a featherbed and score 500.
I don't think that is likely but it could be a Rohit smashes 150 while everyone else struggles sort of game.

Or worse an Ashwin and Axar rescue job that just completely kills you.

If Stokes can bowl it is the right call.
He definitely can't. I tend to agree that it may have been better for England to pick a second seamer, but even so, they will probably doing a lot of standing around in the field more than usual. I take the point about the specialist spinners all turning the ball the same way predominantly. Let's see how many England can get up to.
