if he couldn’t even hack it in ipl then he does suck
That's actually one of England's best spin batting squads since KP/Cook. Crawley, Duckett, Brook, Bairstow and Foakes are all half decent players of spin. Now whether that works on rank turners against Ashwin/Jadeja, who knows? But they won't die wondering....it could be they're 200 all out in 40 overs, but maybe that turns out to be competitive.
the same Bairstow who made 3 ducks after being flown in as the Asia specialist?? Duckett has improved but he is also the one who got owned by Ashwin in 2016 wasn’t he? Foakes can play spin but didn’t impress a lot last tour

I wonder how Crawley will go, he seems to have improved vs spin going by how he attacked murphy in the last ashes test. In india, he will give a good start by attacking the seamers in the first 10 overs, but could get out as soon as the spinners get on .

Josh Bohannon and Dan Lawrence should be in the squad instead of pope who struggles alot vs spin.

Feels like a lot of players come into Indian tours knowing how to play spin well. But it’s a whole different story when the ball turns a mile from like the 5th over, teams getting bowled under 200 and when tests don’t last 3 days.

Only good thing about the England tour of india is seeing the poms get Embarrassed for 5 Straight tests.

But apart form the death of Bazball it's mostly going to be Unwatchble and too one sided.

Series in India are too predictable and boring we all seen this movie before spin and out.

This England side is Average and only great sides win in India Current England team are not great side.

He went at three an over, a far better ER than Mo/Rashid.
To be fair on memory I thought he played more of that tour.

But now remember we took Moeen,Rashid,Batty and Ansari.

Ansari got injured and we must have called Dawson up for final game.

Remember Moeen and Rashid started well on tour but then for worse one I think saqlain who was on as spin coach left the tour by test 3.

Even if a world xi with players from different teams is formed specifically for indian conditions, it will still struggle to win in india.

England managed to win a test in india in 2021, when they were a terrible test team and have won their last 2 tours to sri lanka. So I dont think it will be an annhilation

Lyon was gifted wickets in the first two tests , the bazballers need to be slightly less aggressive in india

steve smith is the only guy who has almost figured out how to beat india in india imo

Wow, so if you discount every time England win, they only lose or draw. That is such piercing insight.
