*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

The deflection off Root's bat was clear, they shouldn't have even needed snicko imo
It can look that way when the bat is passing over the ball, but from a different angle you could see there was always a gap between bat and ball

*Maybe Root wasn't out LBW anyway so it would all be moot

Whatever it takes!!!
Even session IMO. England should be disappointed with anything less than 350 batting first here based on how the pitch has gone so far. India would want them for less than 250. Good game in the offing at least for the first couple of days.

Brook is better than Pope against spin. Not convinced by Pope at 3. Record there takes a heavy padding from the Ireland double hundred.
He did really well there that first year he did it in England when very few runs were scored by the top order.

Totally different case here of course. He made the whole thing look like hell for about 5 minutes there. Either side of that this has really been pretty good.

Pope's selection is kinda baffling

But barring Pope, this has been high quality batting from england for the most part. especially from Duckett and Bairstow

Not saying he's been a disaster. Just not convinced yet.

The lack of an attempt to adjust to the subcontinent conditions was depressing. Pushing hard as hell at the ball like he's facing Cummins in Brisbane. Playing CC mostly in April/May isn't helping. Needs to go on a long tour that involves training against spin because he's just all at sea.

Maybe you should change the title to #BeFriendlyTour
Yeah the mods agreeing to change the thread title to encompass a dig at the touring team probably sets the tone.

I look forward to the same courtesy being extended next Australian summer
