**Official** England in Bangladesh 2016

Not really, it's been up to the interpretation of the umpire (or 3rd umps more recently) since the days of Grace.
haha, yeah I was thinking the same. Concept of "offering a shot" is always going to be up for interpretation.

Who was less useful - Ballance or Rabbi?

Also I never thought I'd see the day where Burgey defends the batting of a Bangladeshi number XI. Although I should have expected it with all his Allan Border talk tbh.

I was against playing Hameed and Duckett as newbies, but in the end if Ballance, looking like he is, is the other choice, then I think we have to. Buttler maybe an outside chance, and Move Bairstow up the order, but I'm loathe to change one of the things that is working.

I wouldn't drop Duckett, he just seemed pretty nervous rather than having any faults, hopefully he'll learn.

Surely if you pick Butter you just pick him as a specialist bat in Ballances position and leave the ginge where he is

It's clearly not true that Ballance is picked for fielding. We have exactly 3 specialist batsmen with both good first-class records and Test hundreds and Ballance is one of them.

harsh but fair I feel
Yeah, I thought he might do well in these conditions, but he was disappointing. I'd drop him and move Duckett down the order so that we can have a look at Hameed. I'd also swap Rashid for Ansari, but don't expect it to happen.

yeah maybe, it's not really ideal, but what is ATM. Really we just need Root and Cook to do what they can do, and it may take some pressure off the rest.

Is Sabbir one french fry short of a happy meal or what? Brainless anti-Hussey batting with the tail.

I'm glad BD souls have been crushed.

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
Cook largely resorted to seamers on a turning, deteriorating track. Thoughts on this? Worked out fine in the end but trusting the spinners more would have been better.

Our spinners easier to get away so went for the option that would have taken Bangladesh longer banking on the tail not lasting. That is my view anyway.

Not Terrible
Great match and that first win against true Test class opponents is very close for Bangladesh. The top order looks like they can battle it out at home at this standard, the attack is showing signs of true class and Shakib and Rahim are still pretty bloody gun.
