This is moronic batting of the highest quality.... FMD the Adeliade oval have one of the shortest square boundaries in the world, so if you have to chance your arm shouldn't you really be targeting that area!!

Absolutely, trying to beat long-on/off is just silly.

Anderson back = England win.

Does anyone understand why Tim Paine isn't playing in this match when he's in the World Cup squad? Of course Marsh is playing and he's not in the squad

Because Haddin is the keeper? And a better batsman?

No surprise as Anderson is the best pace bowler in both sides.

Good performance today, more oomph in the side today.

First thing first... don't know why Paine is the worldcup squad in the first place, the second thing is that he isn't good enough to play purely as batsman.
Marsh is playing because he was teriffic at Hobart and there is every chance that Mussey or Ponting might not make it for the worldcup, so they are grooming him as a possible replacment for either one of them. Though still haven't figured out the idea behind pushing Marsh to #3 after he batted so well down the order at Hobart.

Yeah that is true, no doubt. But I'm more concerned about the selectors refusal to select Marsh in the World Cup squad and now he's batting in the top 3 which is obviously a position that Paine would be expected to fill during the World Cup if an injury occurs.

I will clarify one thing, Australia thoroughly deserved the first 3 wins just the same as England deserve to win this match (which looks likely).

As far as this series is concerned i think Australia will still win it 4-3 or 5-2 but the performance today by England was much more like it. They seemed back on it in the field today after almost coasting through the last week or so.

I still think this series is too long and the injuries being picked up could ruin either sides chances in the World Cup. Also what happens in this series matters not a jot if we meet in the WC as the conditions will be totally different as will the England attack.
