uh dougeh?Apart from Marsh, no one timed the ball too well or looked completely at ease out there.

It's always looked like that thoughThat was actually a compliment towards Ponting, our middle order looks piss weak when the ball moves just a little bit.
At the rate at which they are going down ,both teams will have to replace atleast 5 players in their WC squad by the end of it. Atleast Australia will.Agree, it's madness, after today there is still 5 more to go.
Difference being Ponting could survive those tough patches and accumulate runs, or attack the loose bowling in between. Atm you can't expect any runs from Clarke/White if the English bowlers continue to get that early movement. It's always looked like that though
Haha.. what!? So all of sudden Ricky is the villian now, I mean say whatever you want to say about Ponting's test captaincy but as an ODI captain he has been pretty good.Yeah that is a positive that we have guys that have started converting. We can see the big impact the absence of Ponting is having on the teams performance.
IIRC our recent head to head record against England in ODIs (post 2009 Ashes) is 11 to 4.
TBH Dougeh was mostly just a fluke, that's what made it so funny. So many strange runs, attempted pull shots that lobbed up about three metres, the works. Some good shots but mostly just high-grade tailend comedy batting.uh dougeh?

Yeah, I've not said England performed well enough to win today. Not by any means. But Australia got a bit lucky. You can't tell me you expected a Bollinger run-a-ball 30, let alone that it's likely to happen with any regularity. Australia needs to massively improve on this performance, is my point. Pretty clear TBH.Haha what? Can say that about any game. If Tremlett had performed to his usual standard with the ball they'd never have been in that hole in the first place.
But you'd sooner expect Tremlett to bowl threatening spells consistently than Bollinger to participate in 90-run partnerships at No. 10...Haha what? Can say that about any game. If Tremlett had performed to his usual standard with the ball they'd never have been in that hole in the first place.
funny how everyone took that the wrong way. I should have said "We can see the big negative impact the absence of Ponting is having on the teams batting performance."Haha.. what!? So all of sudden Ricky is the villian now, I mean say whatever you want to say about Ponting's test captaincy but as an ODI captain he has been pretty good.
He is going to be vital to our worldcup chances, becuase I can't see us going very far in the tournament without his batting and leadership skills.
Also loved the way Nicholas took a dig at Clarke in the post match interview, Clarke seems to be really getting it from all corners recently.
I think he meant that Ponting's absence is showing in the way the top order/ middle order isn't functioning.Haha.. what!? So all of sudden Ricky is the villian now, I mean say whatever you want to say about Ponting's test captaincy but as an ODI captain he has been pretty good.

Form since 2009 isn't any better. Averages 20 from 19 ODIs.
That's awful for somebody as highly rated as him in the format.Pretty ordinary.

no clue, i didn't pick up anythingWhat did Nicholas say re. Clarke?
It is, but the fact remains, as an opposition player and supporter, he's the bloke you least want to get going. The man is a wrecking machine when he's on song. If he wasn't in England's WC squad, most everyone else would breathe a sigh of relief."Appalling" closer to the mark, really
Yeah well he's decent too, don't get me wrong. More a finisher IMO though. kP can play the biiiiiiigg knock. No doubt his form is well down though.Yeah true, but nowadays I feel that Morgan is the bloke you want to get rid of
